Easy Way To Make Mozzarella Cheese

This is the best, foolproof and easy way to make Mozzarella cheese at home with store bought pasteurized milk. It has its own wonderful original fresh tatse that you never find in the markey availble cheese.

This is a step by step recipe, I need you to follow the each step perfectly and thoroughly, so there would be no chance for failure.

You need a normal sized (6-8 quart) stainless steel or enameled pot and a cany thermometer, a slotted spoon

First of all clean all the surface and euipment with an antibacterial cleaner where you are going to make mozzarella cheese. Now crush 1/4 of rennet and dissolve it into 1/4 cup of cold unchlorinated water. Set it aside for later use. Now heat the milk upto 87f and add some cuotured butter milk, rennet and keep on stirring during this time for 1-2 minutes. Now stop heating the milk and set it for colling at room temperature for 1 hour. After 1 hour it will form a curd.Cut this curd into 1 inch slices and then stir it to form small cubical curds.

Now put the pot of curd on heating again, keep on stirring while heating, heat upto 97f and set it for the whole night in a warm place.

Drain the whey but save 2 cups of whey, mix them with 2 cups of water a 1/4 of cup of salt. Heat a large pot of water to 185f and add it to the drained curds. Take large spoon of melting curds and work it into a smooth lump. Start making lumps of same size and dump them into a bowl of icewater. When these lumps got firmed put them into salted water that you made earlier with whey. Keep them dumped into salted water for 12-24 hours. After 12-24 hours wrap them up and store in fridge. Soaking in salt solution will perserve the cheese for long time. Store thenm into fridge and when you see any mold or change of taste then make the new batch.
